I'm cooking and eating out healthier these days; however, my aim is moderation, not deprivation. I am not giving up meat, dairy, eggs, pasta, grains, breads, or legumes; nor am I deserting desserts completely. Realistic portion control, and eating a plant-rich, whole food diet (MORE organic local and seasonal veggies and fruits, grass-fed, pasture-finished beef, pasture-raised chicken and eggs; LESS overly processed food, fast food, excess sugar, and nutrient deficient junk foods) is helping me feel fantastic, maintain a consistent energy level throughout the day, and lose unwanted belly fat, along with a do-able exercise plan, a variety of interests and activities, adequate rest and relaxation, and a sense of purpose. It's what is working for me!
